Consumers' Association ends its connection with the General Banking Terms and Conditions

Alternate Text

The Consumers' Association has announced that the legal level of consumer protection is now so high that agreements with trade organizations on two-sided (= approved by the Consumers') general terms and conditions are no longer necessary. That is why the Consumers' Association has terminated its commitment to all current two-sided general terms and conditions as of January 1, 2024. From this date, the Consumers' Association is no longer involved in the ABV. This applies not only to the ABV but to all approximately sixty two-sided general terms and conditions agreed with trade organizations. To be clear: The content of the ABV does not change. For further information, we would like to refer to the website of the Consumers' Association (news article ending two-sidedness and frequently asked questions and answers). This notice is included in the preamble of the General Banking Terms and Conditions valid as of January 1, 2024.
